A Warm Welcome

The Makotokan Dojo Mon

Welcome to the  Makotokan Aikido Dojo website.

We are a small friendly group based in Hackbridge who are passionate about Yoshinkan Aikido and all of its associated aspects.

Aside from Self-Defence, Aikido is great for fitness, balance, co-ordination, mental focus (mindfulness), flexibility and developing confidence and spirit/presence.

Aikido is sometimes referred to as “moving meditation” and can provide a nice de-stressing wind down at the end of a working day. Its also a fun social activity and provides a small community to belong to. Furthermore, we believe Aikido can be for everyone and we will happily adapt the training to suit the individual.

Aikido training is never ending……but we’re not daunted. If you fancy giving Aikido a try why not give us a call or just come along. Contact and location details are below;-
